We both really fancied Chinese food but didn't have much money. This was the ideal place to visit. All you can eat buffet for £10.99.
We were met at the door by a very polite and smiley Chinese lady, shown to a table and had a drinks order taken. It was quite full and with the music at just the right level, it had a really nice atmosphere. I like the decor and how the tables and chairs are set out. Of course, the most important part - the buffet - is in the centre of the room.
Our service was very friendly and super efficient. It seemed the second we stopped eating, our plates were taken away. We would have gladly kept the same plate for the whole evening but they obviously like to keep the dishwasher busy.
Again, the food was excellent. With starters, manin course and desert I think I managed about six plates of food. The good thing is they're always refilling the buffet with fresh food so you don't have to worry about how long it's been sitting there. Fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

I had: I had a selection of appetisers to start off with. Satay chicken with peanut sauce, mini spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce, crab claws, spare ribs and chicken wings. All superb and got the appetite really going.
I then had three crisy duck pancakes with hoy sin sauce, cucumber and spring onion. Wonderful. I could honestly just have eaten these all night and not worried about anything else.
For main course(s) I firstly had some meat dishes. Beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour pork, chicken with ginger and spring onion with noodles and egg fried rice. Absolutely superb.
For my next main course, I went for seafood. I'd been craving squid all day for some reason and luckily they had some. I had squid with chilli and onion and also loads (and I mean loads) of salt and pepper prawns. They were freshly cooked, in the shell and just fantastic.
For desert, I had peaches, pineapple, icecream and mini chocolate brownies. Yes, I'm a pig and I don't care. Overall, an excellent meal and I had to be rolled out the door.

Lucky Star Chinese restaurant has a culture and atmosphere that blends western desire for corporate perfection with Chinese roots and ideals.
The all you can eat buffet is well received as relatively diverse and caters for most palettes, however, I personally feel there is an opportunity to bring some really exotic tastes onto the menu, perhaps foods that have previously been unknown to Norwich.
Although the range of dishes may only be what you would expect from most Chinese restaurants
(especially during the day time), the quality is excellent, and the only thing stopping you from eating them out of business is your own physical capacity.
The atmosphere is really nice and as mentioned above has a real Chinese style. It is peaceful and welcoming. Based inside the quite unpleasant, not to mention grey, multi-story car park, Lucky Star is a clean and inviting oasis.
If you are looking for a quality Chinese meal then Lucky Star would be my choice. The value is really rather good, particularly if you don’t stop at the second plate full!
